#5 Sofie Buesink (ENG)
I am Sofie Buesink, I am 18 years old and a first year student of Biology at the Radboud University. If you ever wonder; who is that red haired, over enthusiastic kid that’s running around the campus, that’s me!
I am very proud to be able to say that I am going to be involved in co-determination as a candidate for AKKUraatd. Besides this role I am active in the debate world ( for example at the student debate association Trivium) and I work in service. If I have time left I enjoy reading, cooking, sailing and playing the recorder (I promise it is not as lame as it sounds).
I think it’s important that students get the chance to check policy “higher up” and if necessary change it. As enthusiastic and cheerful as I am I am also that critical (and sometime a little frustrated) when I look at policy, especially concerning student welfare, sustainability and an inclusive co-determination. This is why I the critical and activistic position of AKKUraatd drew me in.
I think it’s important that everyone feels represented because not everyone has time to read all the files. That is why I think it’s extra cool that I can be involved in co-determination as a first year student because we are usually underrepresented. Besides being critical I can also be a lot of fun. So approach me if you have any questions or feedback or just because you can!
