List leaders (number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5)
AKKUraatd currently has four seats in the University Student Council (USC) As one of the candidates leading the electoral list (Dutch: lijsttrekker), you stand a plausible chance of obtaining a seat in the USC. When you apply for a spot at the top of the electoral list (i.e. number 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5), you are committed to represent all students at Radboud University and put AKKUraatd’s, and your own, ambitions into practice. As member of the USC, you will spend a lot of time in meetings where you will discuss topics concerning university policy. For this reason, you will not be able to follow all courses in your regular study programme. Since you will receive financial compensation from the university as well as an incredibly valuable experience, it is worth your time.

Other spots on the electoral list (number 6 to 15)
In case you are not interested in a seat in the USC but still want to contribute, you can apply for the rest of the spots (i.e. number 6 to 15) on our electoral list (Dutch: lijstduwer). These students are indispensable for our electoral list, since a large part of them will continue on to join the student party the following year. Should you want to contribute to AKKUraatd, you may apply for a position lower on the list and take on an active role during the campaign and perhaps some of our committees. You will also be involved in writing the election programme, which contains all the points AKKUraatd wants to tackle for the upcoming year. Even when you are not a member of the USC, participating as an active member is extremely valuable for the efficiency of our student party.

Member of the student party
Student party AKKUraatd has roughly 30 active members. You can compare their membership to that of a sports- or study association. Our student party consists of students from all faculties at Radboud University. Some of them have previously had a spot on our electoral list and are still with us today because they want to make a difference at out university. When you apply for a spot on our electoral list, you can potentially join the student party itself as well.
As a member of the student party, you can also join one or more of our committees. As a student party, we meet once every two weeks and discuss matters concerning the university, the USC, and our committees. This way, you’re always informed of the current affairs at Radboud University and are therefore able to support the USC members. Next to that, we regularly meet informally and partake in fun activities to get to know one another. Students in our student party come from all sorts of faculties and study programmes, which is why AKKUraatd is the place for interesting conversations, fun activities, and a lot of fun next to your regular study programme.
If you want to be a part of AKKUraatd, you can send an e-mail to akkuraatd@akku.nu. You do not need to send a formal application (which is the case for a spot on the electoral list) if you want to join us!
