AKKUraatd vindt het belangrijk dat de universiteit haar verantwoordelijkheid neemt als het aankomt op een duurzame wereld. Daar past het bankieren bij een bank die investeert in de fossiele industrie niet bij. Daarom heeft AKKUraatd gepleit bij het college voor een overstap naar de BNG bank die onder andere investeert in duurzaamheid en medefinancierder is van onderwijsinstellingen. De universiteit geeft aan de mogelijkheden te willen onderzoeken voor de keuze van een bank op basis van duurzaamheidsoverwegingen. AKKUraatd is blij om te horen dat de universiteit hiertoe over gaat en kijkt uit naar de bevindingen.
AKKUraatd finds it important that the university takes her responsibility when it comes to a sustainable world. Banking with a bank that invests in the fossil industry does not fit in that ambition. That is why AKKUraatd asked the executive board for a switch to the BNG bank that, among other things, invests in sustainability and also is a co-financer of educational institutions. The university says she wants to explore the possibilities to switch banks on the basis of sustainability considerations.
