Third election day
The third campaign day was a huge success! It was quite early this morning, however, after our drinks at Malle Babbe yesterday. The fact that the campaign drinks were fun can be noticed by our hangover faces which were ready to go in the early morning on campus. Armed with coffee for most faculties, the campaigners kicked off at 8:15. The sun was less present today, but this didn’t affect our enthusiasm.
During the break, it was time for AKKUhelptd: legal help. Students were offered the possibility to ask questions. We also fought for our campaign points today. AKKUraatd wants more green on this campus via the construction of an Erasmus Park. Next to that, we argue for the possibility of adapted studying so that you can pay per study credit. That way you do not have to pay your college tuition in full if you’re not a full-time student. Students are not always able to plan their own schedule, which causes them to not be at home when their parcel arrives. That is why we want a parcel pick-up point on campus where you can pick up your parcel. We also want to make the opinion of students heard via opinion polls.
The day ended at 16:00 for most campaigners. A few diehard campaigners continued on at the Erasmus Square to hand out ice cream. After the daily evaluation, it was time to go home. Tonight, we’re by hosting any drinks, but some AKKUraatd campaigners will probably be in town anyway.
